From the moment I walked into Becky’s getting-ready location at the beautiful Creekside Villa Wedding in Canmore, Alberta you could just feel how special the day was going to be! Becky was cool as a cucumber as her sister helped with the finishing touches of her incredible dress from Park and Fifth Co. while Geordon and the groomsmen helped each other with their boutonnieres from Forget me Not Flowers which were stunning!
Once everyone was ready to go we headed out to an amazing viewpoint of the Rocky Mountains and the Town Of Canmore for the sweetest first look and a champagne pop to celebrate! First looks give you time to have an intimate moment with your partner before the day starts, and formal photos so you can spend more time with guests at cocktail hour! Though the storm clouds were rolling in they made for the most dramatic backdrop against the mountains and thankfully held the rain back until everyone was safely inside!
As the sun started to peek from behind the clouds the guests seated themselves in the unplugged ceremony and Geordon went to wait for the bridal party. Becky walked down the aisle with her father and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house! Becky and Geordon stood reciting their handwritten vows to each other in front of the stunning mountain background of Creekside Villa and the most magical double rainbow appeared right above their ceremony. With all the ups and downs they endured to be standing here today it felt like a sign from the universe that everything was exactly the way it was supposed to be. After getting to know Becky and Geordon the last few years I don’t think I could agree more!
As the ceremony filtered into the luxury reception space decorated to perfection it was time to party! As Becky stated they wanted the whole day to feel like the best house party ever only classier! They 100 percent achieved this visions with a decadent meal of prime rib, roast potatoes and root vegetables, creamy cheesecake and custom made cocktails! Not to mention the incredible Mike from Khaos Entertainment who kept everyone on the dance floor with classic throwbacks and modern dance hits that were the perfect mix for the whole crowd. Geordon and his brother had some of the best dance moves I’ve ever seen and seeing everybody celebrating the newlyweds was the best part of the whole day!
